  • Abstract
    Circuits with lower power consumption are suitable to system miniaturization, because small-size and long-lasting batteries can be employed. On the other hand, switched-capacitor filters are commonly used in interfacing analog and digital circuitry. This paper presents a methodology for estimating the power consumption of those filters, to allow evaluation of design alternatives for a given application. A computer aided algorithm has also been developed. Illustrative examples are shown, as well, to verify the usefulness of the technique.
