Abstract

The SERC Engineering Committee commissioned a task force of generator operators and transmission planners, the generator modeling validation task force (GMVTF), to develop such a procedure/supplement of recommended validation practices to ensure that generator dynamic models are maintained consistent with field equipment conditions. The paper presents the draft supplement in which the GMVTF is approaching or has reached a consensus. Also, the draft supplement in which the GMVTF has not fully discussed or has not reached a consensus is also presented.
