Abstract :
An original analytical study of commutation is presented in this paper, to show how the torque changes with time during the current commutation course between two phases of the brushless dc motor, the formulas to determine torque ripple due to this commutation are developed, at last the theoretical analysis is illustrated by simulation using computer program.
