Abstract
A procedure of determining an induction motor model with variable parameters is presented in the paper. A low-budget measurement system, designed and built for this purpose, is briefly described. Experimental data obtained for the motor and braking operation are assumed to be relevance quantities. Identification is a nonlinear regression task defined in the form of a bicriterial optimization problem. Most important conclusions related to the results of matching the model to the r.m.s. stator current, input active power, and torque functions are given.
