Abstract :
The element-free Galerkin method (EFGM) requires only nodes and a description of the external and internal boundaries and interfaces of the model, not that of element connectivity. Therefore, EFGM is completely meshless method. In this paper, an improved formulation of the element free Galerkin method (EFGM) is proposed for electromagnetic field computation. Detailed research is conducted on some key problems, such as the selection of the weight function, the treatment of imposing boundary conditions and interface conditions. Finally, numerical examples are cited for demonstration.
