Abstract
Quasi phase matched second order nonlinear optical interactions in periodically poled LiNbO3 waveguides are exploited to develop efficient integrated optical devices for all-optical wavelength conversion, parametric amplification, time division (de-)multiplexing, phase- and polarisation-switching.
