Abstract
Pulsed-based Brillouin scattering sensors have large measurement times of 5-10 minutes, making them unsuitable for dynamic strain measurements. In this paper, we describe a Brillouin optical correlation domain analysis based fiber optic sensor for dynamic strain sensing at a rate of about 50 Hz.
