Abstract :
Channel state information should usually be known in the receiver when maximum-likelihood detection algorithm is used in OFDM system with space-time coding. We proposed a semi-blind channel estimation algorithm in this paper. The channel is first estimated based on sub-space method blindly to a scale ambiguity. Then a small amount of training is used to eliminating the ambiguity. Simulation results demonstrate that the semi-blind algorithm can achieve higher spectral efficiency than conventional training-based algorithm.
