Abstract :
In this paper, a real-time DOA (Direction-Of-Arrival) estimation system is proposed. The algorithm we adopted is the least squares algorithm which has better performance in azimuth estimation of signal source. A TMS320C32 DSP chip manufactured by Texas Instruments is used as core of this system. The data acquisition component is an 8 channel 12 bits A/D converter with sample rate 454 ksps. The hardware circuit is accomplished using four layers printed circuit board. In the simulation, the proposed real-time system could determine the azimuth of signal source correctly.
