  • Abstract
    In this paper we propose an M-ary MC CDMA scheme, which might be seen as a potential candidate for uplink mobile transmission. The M-ary MC CDMA provides variable data rates and a high spectral efficiency in MC uplinks. The transmitted data bits are serial to parallel converted and assigned to a number of parallel groups. In each group, several data bits are mapped to a certain frequency using M-ary modulation. Additionally, direct sequence spread spectrum modulation is used for the transmission on the chosen orthogonal frequency. The data groups and user signals are separated by using different group and user specific PN (Pseudo Noise) sequences. The BER performance in uplink channels with Rayleigh fading is also shown by computer simulations.
