Abstract
The paper discusses how solution for EMI problems in a microcontroller based water purification system (WPS) is obtained by applying EMI mitigation techniques such as filtering, cabling, isolation and surge suppression etc., to meet EMC requirements for "CE" mark. Suppression of conducted emission from the system, to comply with EN 55014-1, 1997, is explained with illustrations and experimental results. Enhancement of the system\´s immunity to high-energy surge, to comply with EN 55014-2, 1997, is also presented.
