Abstract
A superconducting injector linac for the Cooler-SYnchrotron COSY is under investigation to increase the intensity of polarized proton and deuteron beams. In this report the layout and magnet requirements of the matching and linac section, and sensitivity studies of the lattice performed to find the requirements for an orbit correction system, are discussed. A 6-dimensional multiparticle tracking code was used to simulate the beam in the transverse and longitudinal phase space.
