  • Abstract
Engineering activities using an iterative cycle are often encountered in software technologies especially with object approaches. We have experimented that under size conditions on the system developed and tools available for realization (assembling, stereo lithography ..) it was possible to apply an iterative cycle engineering method named ROPES for mechatronics. This iterative cycle is then discontinuous with a set of key points to be tested for each prototype. The application is a video detector for persons carried on an escalator. It involves an image processing system, an axis control and a software for decisions linked to security.
