Abstract
This paper proposes reliability improvements to the cluster based routing protocol (CBRP). Estimation of link reliability to facilitate alternate route redundancy together with the use of adaptive power control is introduced. Network performance is improved in terms of packet delivery ratio, average delay and overheads while at the same time operating at lower transmission power.
