  • Abstract
    This paper presents an improved UTD model for cellular mobile radio (CMR) systems in urban environments. A closed form formula is derived based on the uniform theory of diffraction (UTD) and includes multiple diffractions over building rooftops. Good agreement between our theoretical results with measurements and models reported shows the validity and applicability of our model for such communication application.
