Abstract
This paper addresses the space-time coding (STC) in ternary phase shift keying (TPSK) for highly reliable wireless communications. TPSK has not been focused upon until now, although it has theoretically excellent features for mobile communication systems, that is, splendid error rate characteristics and minimum amplitude fluctuation among all of the PSK schemes. In this study, computer simulation shows that the STC-TPSK scheme outperforms both of STC-BPSK and STC-QPSK over frequency-flat time-varying Rayleigh fading channels.
