Abstract :
In this paper, we present the use of Vegetation Indexes with ASTER VNIR data for the detection of burnt areas in Western Peloponnese, Greece. Four different indexes have been used with very good results. The use of ASTER VNIR data for vegetation monitoring and burnt areas detection is proposed.
