  • Abstract
    We demonstrate a nano-taper coupler for compact mode-size conversion between fiber and submicron waveguide. The micron-long silicon-on-insulator based nano-taper coupler enhances the coupling efficiency by one order of magnitude compared to that of the waveguide.
