Abstract :
A unique form of integrated electro-optical device using freestanding thin-films has been demonstrated using ion-slicing. Electro-optical polarization conversion on a 10-micron-thick lithium niobate slab shows a larger tunability of the conversion wavelength than for a bulk device.
