  • Abstract
    Solar cell calibration plays an important role for determining the efficiency of photovoltaic devices under defined conditions. Laboratories involved in PV characterisation developed a number of calibration methods and procedures, which progress towards decreasing uncertainty, and worldwide acceptance. This paper gives an overview about the methods used, their specific features and applicability. The overview is limited to reference devices, and does not discuss standard performance measurements on PV devices.
