Abstract
In order to evaluate the solar energy potentials of the Gobi desert area, a new data acquisition system has been developed and installed in Sainshand within the framework of cooperation between the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science & Technology of Japan, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, and the National University of Mongolia. The results of the measurements show that an average value of the monthly sum of integrated global radiation measured by an M-80 pyranometer every 3 hours are 10% less than the global radiation measured by a CPR-CM-21 pyranometer every 10 minutes.
