Abstract
Field tests of a concentrator photovoltaic (PV) system with flat Fresnel lens were carried out in Toyohashi and Inuyama, Japan, in order to evaluate performance of solar tracking system and generation. Glass and metal homogenizers were installed into PV module to increase the efficiency. It is found that (1) solar tracking system of the PV system is controlled with high accuracy, (2) the average efficiency of the module with glass homogenizer is 17.6%. The difference between the highest temperature of the module and the atmospheric temperature is restrained with in 30/spl deg/C.
