  • Abstract
The thermal effect of dye-sensitized TiO/sub 2/ composite materials was investigated using several analytical methods The thermal stability of dye/TiO/sub 2/ samples in nitrogen and air were analyzed using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). A design of experiment (DOE) was carried out to evaluate the thermal effect of temperature treatments and particle sizes of TiO/sub 2/ on the dye. The composite samples then can be analyzed by spectrometers, such as Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-TR) and UV-vis instruments, to observe any light absorption shift or decay and further chemical structure changes. The information is useful and can be applied in the fabrication and operation of dye-sensitized TiO/sub 2/ solar cells (DSC).
