Abstract
The paper proposes a methodology to integrate smart sensors in multisensors and networked applications. This work is based on the Accord/UML methodology developed at the CEA/List. This methodology is dedicated to the design of RT/E distributed applications. Accord/UML relies on a basic, three-stage process cycle that ensures analysis, prototyping and testing. A seamless and iterative process of UML model refinement achieves progression from one to another of these stages. To do so, the Accord/UML profile defines specific packages of model mappings. This profile also contains all UML extension definitions provided in Accord/UML context to facilitate access by nonexperts to real-time systems development.
