Abstract :
An application of the method of using a porous media approach to evaluate the cooling performance of electronic equipment is presented. In particular the evaluation of the heat flux assuming a passive (natural convection) weak turbulent flow regime is shown to produce results efficiently. While experimental results to confirm these findings are not yet available, the latter will play an important role in the future if this method is to gain acceptability.
