Abstract
There are three mega trends that drive the world to change. The trends are digitalization, globalization and knowledge-based economies. Evidently the amount of transferred data grows rapidly as users use more ever richer services and consume versatile content. Examples of these services and content are multimedia messaging, web browsing, email and streaming. Increasing mobile media consumption will require higher network capacity and higher user data rates than what is available today. And vice versa, one bottleneck in the rollout of services people are willing to use is the available data rates.
