Abstract
In this study, forest was measured using video camera mounted on a helicopter. It is necessary to acquire high spatial resolution image for discernment of tree species. Image features for classification of tree species were extracted by texture analysis using gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM). In this analysis, local homogeneity was computed from the GLCM of image. This textural feature can be used for classifying tree species.
