Abstract :
Authors proposed an approach to reduce passenger car acceleration vibration by engine torque control based on a vehicle model. Such engine torque control is constrained by the fact that reciprocal engine is mainly applied passenger cars. Torque profile resolution is determined by speed dependent frequency, control measures, e.g. fuel, spark advance and intake air, are bounded in amplitude and response. Vibration reduction strategy should be investigated considering cost and performance of transfer pass modification and vibration source control. Effect of transfer pass modification and engine control measures are analyzed. Overall performance was investigated with a virtual vehicle consists of multi-body vehicle model and Simulink controlled engine model.
