Abstract
This paper is on optimal periodic controller for multi-joint space structures to capture debris with periodic motions. The increasing numbers of debris are one of the major problems of the space environment. These debris spins around in periodic motion due to its malfunction in stabilization system. The controller is designed for multi-joint space structures to follow these periodic motions with minimum energy consumption. The result shows good ability for space structure to follow the periodic motion. The controller is simple enough for the on-board computer of space structures to calculate. The controller also shows ability for application to other systems with similar constraints.
