Abstract
In order to maximize an energy conversion in a VR stepping motor, it is necessary to provide the very exact current impulse to supply a VR stepping motor. This paper describes a possibility to define the beginning and the end of a current impulse only by measuring instantaneous current impulse, instead of complicated and expensive measurements of a rotor position related to stator. It is shown how this measurement provides an optimal cycle of energy conversion in any VR stepping motors, taking into account the resistance of motor´s coils as well as the nonlinearity of applied ferromagnetic material.
