  • Abstract
Antenna elements and arrays for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) applications is a research topic normally required from projects that have very demanding specifications. A novel broadband dual linearly polarized microstrip antenna array with low cross-polarization level for operation in the frequency range from 9.1 GHz to 10.1 GHz used in the airborne E-SAR project, and which makes use of a flexible 2-stage (azimuth and elevation) feeder system is presented in this paper. The main antenna array parameters, as well as the feeding setup, are shown and discussed.
