Abstract
The design of an RF MEMS single-pole-three-throw (SP3T) switch is introduced. It consists of three series-configured, resistive-contact, switches based on fixed-fixed beam architecture in a coplanar environment. The SP3T switch yields an insertion loss of about 0.45 dB and a minimum of 22 dB return loss in the frequency range from dc to 25 GHz. A minimum of 20 dB isolation between the ports has been achieved in the same frequency range. This SP3T switch is actuated by a DC voltage of 30 to 50 dc volt.
