Abstract :
We have been developing the feature oriented and progressive algorithm in order to make an object-oriented digital map database (DMD) from printed topographic maps by using raster-vector conversion and extracting various objects such as natural objects, man-made objects, and notations. This paper concentrates to discuss how to extract the buildings.
