Abstract
Companhia de Electricidade de Macau-CEM, S.A. has established a grid metering system to collect energy flow information of importation, generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in Macao. With the available information provided by the metering system and implementation of ERP software within CEM, a simulation of segregation of generation, transmission and distribution was conducted to test ideas of reaction to a more competitive market within a tiny electric power system. This paper discusses concerns raised in the process of simulation and problems of defining transfer price among different business areas.
