Abstract :
Single-pole double-throw switches composed of pin diodes are designed so as to operate at multiple frequencies. To simplify their configuration, a ladder resonance circuit is used. The switching performance is evaluated from the viewpoint of insertion loss and isolation. Isolation levels greater than 20 dB and insertion loss levels less than 2 dB are achieved in experiments at three frequency bands roughly centered on 1.6, 2.5, and 5.8 GHz.
