Abstract
The traditional method of elevator configuration is testing tentatively. Hence, it costs too much resource and the result is usually dissatisfactory. To solve this problem, a new method is presented in the article. In the new method, Markov network queuing theory is used to build the elevator traffic model. Based on the model, elevator configuration parameters of each serving stations are calculated. Then elevator configuration is made using these parameters. Finally contrasting the new method with traditional one, the result proves the better effect of the new one. Meanwhile, the result shows the validity and feasibility of the new method of elevator configuration.
