  • Abstract
    OMNInet is a long-term trial of an experimental DWDM photonically-switched network for data- and compute-intensive applications across a metropolitan area. The four-node field network includes scalable photonic nodes, protected wavelength-granularity mesh switching of 10 Gb/s Ethernet, a control plane, and photonic connection verification.
