  • Abstract
    The frequency response and chirp characteristics of a 1.6 /spl mu/m optically pumped tunable vertical cavity surface emitting laser are presented for the first time. The observed chirp and linewidth enhancement factor /spl alpha//sub H/ behavior are analyzed and discussed.
