Abstract
Using a lossless MOSFET model, we will show mathematically the performance limits of traditional and modern packages on their own and demonstrate that some traditional packages are less suitable for high frequency applications. We will also highlight the new BGA family of packages that meets these demands and is likely to continue to meet them for some time in the future
