  • Abstract
Traffic pollution in many urban areas is one serious problem challenging transportation policy makers. It is an existent question for transportation researchers how to manage traffic environment. This paper discusses environment impact of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and employs the theory and methods of traffic behaviors science to establish environment management model of multi-mode traffic system under ITS, which state how to decrease pollution in city by pricing scheme. It uses theoretical and empirical results from the literature to Guangzhou as a typical case.
