  • Abstract
    This paper presents an integrated network management system (INMS) for optical-label switching networks. The INMS addresses the issues of managing multi-layer heterogeneous networks in an integrated way; and it provides a platform for integrated multi-layer (IP/WDM) traffic engineering, fault management, and restoration. We demonstrate a prototype implementation of the INMS, which performs on-line traffic engineering over label switching and optical circuit switching layers with integrated intelligence.
