Abstract
Underwater acoustic channel is a time-varying and multipathing channel. It varies due to differential season, differential area and differential situation of sea face. For realizing real underwater communication, characteristic of underwater channel must be mastered to create the model of underwater channel in order to increase the reliability and understandability of underwater real communication. On the base of prophase research, the method of multiple model and its experiment has been introduced in this paper to research the characteristic of underwater acoustic channel.
