  • Abstract
A networked control system (NCS), due to the uncertainty of stochastic network-induced delay, may induce vacant sampling, data rejection, and the loss of data packet, which degrade control system´s performance and even make a system unstable. In order to overcome these adverse influences on an NCS, the work presents a method of dealing with these issues based on model predictive control (MPC), and compares it with the existing try-once-discard (TOD) strategy. The proposed algorithm adopts the predictive value if a controller and an actuator have not received a new value within a given tune interval. The simulation results show that the algorithm can improve control performance.
