Abstract
Industrial motor drives and controllers are connected to a variety of applications. Dual inertia systems with lost motion are particularly hard to model and control. This paper discusses the utilization of acceleration feedback to reduce the effects of load torque disturbances and stabilize the plant output. Following theoretical analysis and simulations, two experimental test stands were utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the solution.
