Abstract
We are dealing with structured residuals, generated for fault detection and isolation in static linear systems by partial PC models. Structured design is combined with sensitivity optimization, using a max-min criterion applied to the fault-to-noise response ratio in the residual. A graphic representation of the optimization problem is given, together with illustrative examples.
