Abstract
Implementing a beamforming algorithm in a digital signal processor using fixed-point arithmetic generates several errors which will cause a degradation of signal-to-noise ratio. In this paper, the degradation is analysed analytically by taking into acconnt all the quantization errors due to a digital implementation contrary to the classical analysis which considers only the signal and weight representation errors.
