Abstract
Due to slow improvements in battery technology there will be an insignificant increase of battery capacities in near future. Therefore, the ubiquitous environment should help mobile battery-operated devices to increase their runtime. One possibility is power aware remote processing. The needed flexibility should be provided by power aware middleware. This paper describes a concept for adaptive power aware remote processing, shows some implementation details, and presents evaluation results of real-world image processing tasks.
