Abstract :
OFDM system performance is more sensitive to frequency offset and timing error than single-carrier systems. The paper presents a new algorithm which makes use of the autocorrelation characteristics of the pseudo sequence (PN-sequence) to improve the accuracy of the frequency offset and timing error based on the special pilot pattern. Intersymbol-interference (ISI) can be removed only if the correct parameters are chosen. The theoretical analysis and simulation results verify the robustness to multipath of this algorithm.
