Abstract
In type-II hybrid ARQ, throughput conflicts with transmission delay. For this issue, a new hybrid ARQ scheme based on rate compatible turbo codes is presented. The new system sends the parity bits adaptively according to the channel condition, which can ensure the receiver decodes the data frame correctly. It can reduce the transmission delay and has the preferable high throughout. It makes better tradeoff between throughput and delay.
