Abstract
Interference issues are among the most important and urgent problems that have to be solved for ad hoc networks to be efficient, QoS capable, and widely applicable. We propose an evolvable interference management (EIM) approach for medium access control (MAC) in ad hoc networks, multihop wireless LANs and mesh networks. We present various consistent techniques for EIM, enabling it to generate a series of EIM protocols that are adaptive/optimized to changing requirements, environments and emerging technologies.
